final edition for 2004
intro_ph01

December already! We hope you enjoy our final edition for 2004.  Sadly, two of our interns, Ruri Hasako and Sayaka Yoshida, will be leaving KTW as they embark on the next stage of their lives but they leave behind some words of encouragement as well as some strong reminders. You will note that Anna Nakazato has joined forces with Sayaka for her final article. Sayaka will be working with Narita Airport Terminal Services for American Airlines as ground staff.  She is very excited about this but also a little nervous as she has been asked to start work a little sooner than she planned. Sayaka has our best wishes for her new position and our thanks for introducing our new intern, Anna Nakazato, who will officially start work with us next year. You will hear more from Anna in the next edition as she has a promise of an exclusive interview with Sayaka to give us a detailed account of her airport work experiences. This should be very interesting for all the first year students who are hoping to find a similar career.

Ruri Hasako has also been a valuable contributor to these pages and for this edition, she has chosen to write about some great places for you to visit or see during the winter vacation. Ruri came to KIFL from university after deciding that her language studies there were not fulfilling. In the time she has been with us at KIFL, Ruri has shown a wide interest in various cultures. Some of you will remember the amazing presentation she and her classmates did on the Middle East in her first year. More recently, Ruri spent 3 months in France and her next venture will be in America where she plans to follow a childhood dream by enrolling in a college for dramatic art. Fortunately, Ruri has promised us a final article for the next edition before she departs Japan. We know that both of our interns will be successful in whatever they do, as they have always worked with integrity and passion.

We have four interesting interviews for you by Ryoko Konta. Luckily, Ryoko will stay with us through the Winter Intensive Program so we look forward to more. She is off to Europe on her own for 3 weeks as she feels she needs a challenge and our guess is that she will return with some interesting stories.

All the best for your winter vacation plans, your Christmas celebrations and your New Year resolutions. Please make yourself known if you would like to be part of KIFL Times on the Web. We need you in order to make this a quality paper. Just contact us at ktimes@kifl.ac.jp
