Welcome to the first edition of
KIFL Times on the Web (KTW)

We hope you like what you see. We are a group of students and teachers who are working together to create an interactive newspaper on the web. Our staff is very excited about this work project. In the first stages, KTW will be available within KIFL but as we improve, we will expand our news service to universities in Japan and finally, to the rest of the world.

We are lucky to have three dedicated interns/editors from the seniors and they will be supporting and helping their volunteer reporters who will be asking you for stories and articles from time to time. Please contact the chief editor ktimes@kifl.ac.jp subject KTW if you would like to be involved in anyway.

Our overall theme for this edition is emotivationf. You will read what students say about their experiences with travel and homestays and how those experiences have motivated them to change their ideas. Read what Sayaka Yoshida, Editor of the Career Corner, has to say about preparing yourself for job-hunting. We also have a special report on a business simulation that has motivated the students in new ways.

We do need to ask you for patience, as this is our first experience in coordinating interns, digital creator students and volunteers. All this has been with the very strong support of Mr. Itani's Project C group and the Media Center. A special thank you to the Web Manager, Atsushi Sugimoto, who is at present tearing out his hair with frustration at missed deadlines. We are desperate for editorial help and would be grateful for any offers. Just contact the chief editor at ktimes@kifl.ac.jp. Thanks for dropping by and do stay a little longer. Explore our articles and let us know if you have any ideas or requests for our next edition.
