Another academic year is coming to a close and once again, we shall be saying goodbye to our graduates.
Many cultures celebrate this time of the year as a chance for renewal and of course, here in Japan, we first have the plum blossoms, followed by the cherry blossoms to remind us that the dark days of winter are over. The sadness of letting you go into a new life is lightened with anticipation of what lies ahead. We wish you the very best as you take on new challenges.
As you read through this ebumperf edition of KIFL Times on the Web, you will see that the common theme is one of motivation. This is interesting to note as the student reporters have complete freedom to decide who they will interview and what questions they will ask. Motivation, or lack of motivation is a subject often mentioned in business and educational meetings but I am always impressed with the awareness that our students gain from talking to others. It is a good reminder that as educators, parents, teachers or administration, everything we say and do has an effect.
We hope you like our new Spotlight and Special People series. We continue to grow and hopefully improve but above all, we are an expression of our students and how lucky we are to have so many students who are willing to become involved.
